Why we're better value
Our vans are half again the size of a tipper
Most rubbish firms in South Wales run tipper vans. Ours are large high-roof vans measuring 16 cubic yards — roughly 1.5× the capacity.
That matters because you are buying space. A "full van" from us swallows what would take one and a half loads elsewhere, so the same clearance costs you one price instead of two, and it goes in one trip rather than three.
- 16 cubic yard high-roof vans
- No skip permit, no waiting for a wagon
- Two of us doing all the lifting
- Loaded from wherever it is — upstairs, garden, loft
What we take
One van, most of your problems
Domestic or commercial, one sofa or a full house. We take everything except fridges and asbestos.
House & flat clearances
Full properties, single rooms, lofts, garages and sheds. Probate and end-of-tenancy work handled quietly and without fuss. We'll dismantle beds and wardrobes on the spot, take it from wherever it is in the house, and sweep through before we leave.
Priced by van load, from £160 →Garden waste
Hedge trimmings, branches, soil, turf, decking, old fence panels and the shed it was leaning on — dismantled if it needs to be.
From £160 a quarter loadBuilders' rubble
Bricks, plaster, timber, tiles and strip-out waste off site. One clear at the end of a job, or repeat visits through a build.
Trade rates availableCommercial waste
Office clear-outs, shop refits, warehouse leftovers and regular trade collections. Waste transfer notes as standard.
Regular collections welcomeFly-tip cleanup
Dumped on your land or outside your property? We prioritise these, because a pile left sitting only attracts more.
Same-day where we canSofas & mattresses
Two-seater £40, three-seater £60, L-shaped £90, mattress £50 any size. Collected from inside, not just the kerb.

Send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you straight away, along with the price. The only two things we can't take are fridges and asbestos.
Prices

Drops to £2.50 a bag once you're over 40 of them.
Quarter van
£160 loaded & swept
A shed, a small garden tidy, or a room's worth.
Half van
£290 loaded & swept
The usual for a garage or a decent garden clear.
Full van
£450 16 cubic yards
Half again what a tipper van holds, for one price.
1 — How much have you got?
Not sure which? Send a photo and we'll tell you — it's what we do all day.
£3 a bag, dropping to £2.50 a bag once you're over 40. Standard black bin bags.
Add the sofa bed line on top of the sofa itself. Everything is collected from inside the property, not just the kerb.
Your estimate
An estimate, not a fixed quote. We work the van load out from your photo, so it can move a little either way once we're loading — we won't charge more if you go slightly over, only if there's a big difference.

How we estimate
Send a photo through WhatsApp, email or text, or show us in person. We work the van load out from that. These are rough estimates and can change — the price could go up or down once the van is actually loaded.
We price it fairly
Go a bit over the estimate and we won't charge you more for it. We'd only revise the price if what's there is massively different to what we were shown.
Paying
Payment is made once the van is loaded — no exceptions. Card or cash. We're not VAT registered, so the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Trade & business
Need us regularly?
If you're a business or a tradesperson who needs waste shifting on a regular basis, get in touch and we'll work something out that suits you. Builders, letting agents, shops, landlords and site managers all use us on repeat.
- Agreed rates for regular collections
- Waste transfer notes as standard
- Out-of-hours and weekend collections by arrangement
- Invoicing rather than payment on the day

Same-day, locally
Because we work a tight patch, a Cardiff or Newport job booked early enough can usually be done that same day.
No skip permit
Terraced streets with no driveway are our bread and butter. Nothing sits on the road, so there's no permit to apply for.
Local transfer stations
Everything goes to licensed sites in South Wales where it gets sorted, not driven across the country.
Real jobs
Before, and half an hour later
The world above is a model. These are photographs — every one a job we've actually done. Tap between the two.
Back lane fly-tip, Cardiff
Bags, boxes and a bed frame dumped beside the bins. Cleared and swept the same day.
Back garden clear-out, Cardiff
Around twenty bags of household and garden waste shifted from a terraced back garden.
Hedge cuttings, Vale of Glamorgan
A long run of hedge trimmings and old growth bagged, loaded and gone in one visit.
Alleyway clearance
A blocked alley cleared back to the walls so the bins could get through again.
How it works
Three steps, no messing
Send us a photo
WhatsApp, email or text a picture of the pile and we'll estimate the van load from it. Prefer to talk? Ring +44 7497 497223.
We turn up and load
Same day where we can. You don't need to lift a thing or drag anything outside — we'll come and get it from wherever it is.
Pay once it's loaded
Card or cash when the van is loaded and you're happy. Everything goes to a licensed transfer station, and we'll send the transfer note if you want it.
What people say
9.84 out of 10, across 17 reviews
All verified on Checkatrade, where we're vetted on 12 separate checks.
“They cleared a 4 bed house and large garden, emptied 2 sheds and took a tree down. A very emotional time for our family, but they took total control and took all the stress away from us.”
“Super quick at arranging a collection, and after talking through what we wanted taking away the guys just got on with the job. The price was very reasonable and nothing was too much trouble.”
“I called on a Saturday afternoon and they were there within the hour. Licence details provided upfront and a place to verify them. Cheaper than local companies who could not provide registration details.”
About
A small local firm that turns up
Alpha Waste Removal Ltd is run by Domeniko Precaj out of Cardiff. Licensed, fully insured, and answerable to every review we have.
Started with one van and a phone that gets answered
Most people ringing a waste removal company have already had a bad experience with one. A quote that changed on the day, a crew that didn't show, or a price that somehow doubled once the van was loaded. That is the bar we set out to clear.
We're a Cardiff-based limited company servicing Cardiff, Newport and all surrounding areas, doing everything from a single mattress to a four-bedroom probate clearance. Domestic and commercial, one-off or regular.
What that means in practice: a price before we start, two of us doing the lifting, and the job left tidier than we found it. Nothing clever — just doing what we said we would.
Registered waste carrier
Licence CBDU034669, registered with Natural Resources Wales. Check it on the public register before you book us — or anyone else.
Fully insured
Public liability cover on every job, domestic and commercial. Ask and we'll send the certificate over before we start.
Vetted by Checkatrade
Passed up to 12 checks including ID, address, financial, CCJ and company trading history. Rated 9.84/10 by customers.
Recycling
Around 90% of what we collect stays out of landfill
Everything comes off the van at a licensed transfer station and gets sorted properly. Timber, metal, green waste, cardboard, plasterboard and rubble all have somewhere better to go than a hole in the ground.
- Furniture in good condition offered on for reuse
- Scrap metal and white goods separated for recycling
- Green waste composted where the site allows
- Waste transfer notes on request
Recycling rate is our own working figure across recent jobs, not an audited statistic.
How we work
Four things we won't do
Quote by guesswork
You get a price before we start, not a number invented once the van is full.
Charge for the lifting
Loading is the job. It isn't an extra, and neither are the stairs.
Leave a mess
We sweep up. If the spot looks worse than when we arrived, we haven't finished.
Fly-tip your waste
It ends up at a licensed site, every time. Ask for the transfer note.
FAQ
Questions we get asked every week
If yours is not here, ring or WhatsApp +44 7497 497223 and ask. No sales patter, just an answer.
How much does it cost?
Flat prices by the van load: £450 a full van, £290 a half, £160 a quarter. Black bin bags are £3 each, or £2.50 each once you're over 40. Sofas are £40 for a two-seater, £60 for a three-seater and £90 L-shaped, with £50 more if it's a sofa bed. Mattresses are £50 whatever the size.
Are there extra charges for sofas, mattresses or awkward items?
No. There are no extra charges for sofas, mattresses or any other item we accept within a van load. If it's going in as part of the load, the load price covers it.
What can't you take?
We accept everything except fridges and asbestos. If you're unsure about something, send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you straight away.
How do you work out the price?
From a photo. Send one through WhatsApp, email or text, or show us in person, and we'll estimate the van load from it. These are rough estimates and are subject to change — the price could be lower or higher once the van is actually loaded.
What if there's more than you estimated?
We're fair about it. Go a bit over and we won't charge you extra. We'd only change the price if what's actually there is massively different to what we were shown.
When do I pay?
Our policy is that payment is made when the van is loaded — no exceptions. Card or cash on the day. Businesses on a regular arrangement can be invoiced instead.
How big are your vans?
Large high-roof vans measuring 16 cubic yards — about 1.5× the size of the tipper vans most rubbish companies use. You're paying for space, so that's better value for the same money.
How quickly can you collect?
Often the same day, especially in Cardiff and Newport. Otherwise it's usually next day, and you get a time window rather than "sometime Tuesday".
Are you licensed and insured?
Both. We're a registered waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales, licence number CBDU034669, and we're fully insured with public liability cover. Ask any waste company for their licence number — if they won't give it, walk away, because if your waste is fly-tipped it's you the council comes after.
Do I need to move everything outside first?
No. We come in and get it from wherever it is — upstairs bedroom, loft, back garden, behind the shed. That's what you're paying for.
What areas do you cover?
We service Cardiff, Newport and all surrounding areas. Check your postcode here. A bit further out? Ask anyway — we travel for bigger jobs.
I'm a business — can we set something up?
Yes. If you're a business or tradesperson needing us regularly, get in touch and we'll see what we can offer you. Builders, letting agents, shops and landlords all use us on repeat, with agreed rates, transfer notes and invoicing.
Is it cheaper than hiring a skip?
Usually, once you add up the skip hire, the permit if it has to sit on the road, and the days you spend loading it yourself. Our vans are also bigger than a standard tipper, so a full load goes further.
Someone fly-tipped on my land. Is that my problem?
Unfortunately yes — on private land the landowner is responsible for clearing it, however unfair that feels. Photograph it and report it to the council first, then ring us. We prioritise these because a pile left sitting attracts more.
